I've been driving my 2013 electric car, a Nissan Leaf, and getting 4.9 miles per kwH, a substantial increase over the 3 miles per khW you used in your assumption. But I do almost no freeway driving. Conversely I do like to floor it when taking off from red lights :) Takes off nice'n'quick!

To get information out to the public regarding renewable energy for free is fantastic. This needs to be done more frequently.

Excellent information! Solar system is the best option for creating a clean and renewable electrical power. It normally focuses on the development and manufacturing of products that address global environmental problems.

I have to say... since I am the owner of an ELECTRIC CAR CONVERSION COMPANY... that batteries charged BY solar IS the answer... it costs as much to REFINE one GAL of Gas as it does to DRIVE an electric car.. THEY ARE NOT EXPENSIVE ! You can DIY for the price of the parts...which I SELL.. we have been converting and DRIVING NOTHING BU EV's for OVER 20 years... 5 years or our LAWN BUSINESS was 100% ELECTRIC...ELECTRIC TRUCK and Dixie chopper !! NO GAS.. CHARGED by SOLAR PANELS... Batteries LIKE WOMEN... last as LONG was you pay attention to them and treat them fairly.! PAY attention to your batteries and they will out perform their ratings.. FOR example.. the Deka 6V golf cart batteries are RATED for 3 years..> WE GET OVER 8 years.. WHY because we PAY ATTENTION and treat them properly..!! we keep a BMS on them. water them timely... watch EACH battery and most importantly CHARGE the properly... GO to our web site.. www.Greenshedconversions.com GO TO THE PROJECT tab....... yes that is ME...... an OLD OLD LADY converting my new COMPANY CAR... a 1967 AUSTIN from gas to 100% electric... IF I can do it.. YOU can to !! and cheaper than buying a VOLT or LEAF or TESLA !!!! Ohhhh and BTW...... MY car took the 3rd place TROPHY at the DRAG track in Bradenton !!! YES SIR>> she will MOVE out !!! QUARTER MILE TRACK !!! I am very proud of her...

The key to good solar paneling is having a home that is faced west and east. This way when the sun comes up your panels are ready for direct sunlight. As an electrician in FL not too many people in the neighborhood use solar panels but I think its becoming more popular. It's a great technology that I hope takes over the world.

The information you have provided on the basics of solar power systems is very informative. The use of solar energy is very beneficial for our environment as well as it is very cost effective. Thanks.

I've been using energy calcs software since the mid 80s and this has got to be one of the worst applications that I've ever used. Nothing is intuitive. And why were the citizens of Florida bilked out of the millions of dollars that this probably took to develop when there is ComCheck from the DOE for free? It appears this app was developed by the University of Florida. Figures that it is a government product. Poor customer support. Help function is worthless. And on and on.
