A heat recovery ventilator will replace the moist air with fresh air from outside that is dry. This happens using a fan to create a constant slow incoming flow of outdoor air while concurrently having an outward flow of indoor air that has become stale. In essence, fresh air is in constant supply as the allergens and other pollutants are regularly being escorted out.

I think we can only save the energy if energy efficeint appliances were cheaper. You see, most people want to lower the energy bill and help the earth but as long as the prices are HUGE, this will be a slow process

I just bought a house almost 2 yrs ago, it was built in 1986 the home still has the roll out windows, I loose so much air out of them. It takes so long for the home to cool as the air conditioner unit is still the original one from 1986 . I have tried fixing the windows myself but the panes just fall out. I’m a single mom and don’t know what to do. I work part time as the economy is so bad right now. Please help.

i change my light bulbs to 26 and 5 watt floresent,it lowerd my bill,my water heater goes on when i need it ,i got a few solar panels,to run a few lights at knight and some tv,i built a solar oven to cook in a few days a wk,i built 6 rain barrels and save on water and sewer bill,i have some solar lights outside by my sidewalk,i use 1 inside in my bath room for light,ill be doing alot more

The choice is yours ADELINA, electricity is not a must have like food and water. Electricity is a desire. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying you should live without any electricity at all but I am sure there is a lot that you could live without if you would apply your mind to the task and ask your heart to follow. You won’t have to change your religion ether. There is lots of info on the subject of living without electricity. After all, people had been living without it since, well, since there have been people. Its only been in the last 100 years that people have begun to believe they cannot live without it. That is the power of advertising.

What I am about to write might seem like a harsh statement to some of you but there is no malicous intent, only the cold hard truth that we all know to be self evident.
On the planet Earth, homo sapiens do not require the utilization of electricity in order to live. They have been made to believe that they do.

The words planet, world, and, Earth would all seem to be synonmous, to most people but really they are not. Earth is the planet we all live on. Our world is what we make of it. If you believe you need electricity to live on Earth then that is your world. Just remember that for thousands of years all of mankind did not need electricity to live on the planet Earth. That was their world. We today are a living testimony to that fact. The utilization of electrcity is something that most people today, believe they need in order to live on the planet Earth. Its just not so, thats simply the world they live in. That belief began only one hundred years ago. We can’t change the planet Earth but, we can all change the world in which we live. I am looking for a way to make our home more energy efficent.
(power bills & envirioment) My wife & I have a 14 Year old son. I am
a Vietnam veteran. I have been disabled since 2003. We do own our home.
It was paid off, however over the last 12 years we have had to borrow
against it. Otherwise I would replace the heat pump and windows ourselves.
