Florida has similar weather conditions to Brisbane (Queensland, Australia). Perfect for solar energy. Anyone that lives in regions like ours should be installing solar hot water systems. It’s a no brainer. Good for the environment with less pollution and less use of coal fired energy and good for the hip pocket medium to long term too.

Right on! Good post. Solar hot water is quite affordable and depending on several variables can pay for itself in 5-7 years. It works in sunny climates (like Florida)–and it works in cloudy climates (like the Northeast). It’s a great entree into renewables.
